SuperSand BondTM:
Installation InstructionsThe surface must be completely dry to utilize SuperSand BondTM.- Cover with SuperSand BondTM, and using a broom, sweep the sand into the joints filling them completely.
- After filling the joints, sweep the surface clean of SuperSand BondTM to avoid staining during compaction.
- Compact at least twice with a plate compactor.
- Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3.
- Proceed with wetting. Remember that the surface must be free of SuperSand BondTM. Then, using a garden hose or sprinkler, moisten the joints at least three times at 5 to 10 minute intervals, gradually moistening the entire depth of the joint. Do not over-moisten the pavement or generate run-off, for this can wash out the binder, especially on sloped areas. Let dry for at least three (3) hours before allowing traffic on the surface.
Remember that with SuperSand BondTM, you need only three hours of drying time, versus 24 hours for regular polymeric joint sand.A single 66-pound bag of SuperSand BondTM covers 65 to 100 square feet (6 to 9 m2) with narrow joints, or 22 to 43 sq. ft. (2 to 4 m2) with wide joints. The required quantity of SuperSand BondTM will depend on the shape and size of the pavers or slabs, and on the width of the joints. Thank you. |  Additional Notes:- Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces, as the activation of the binder can make SuperSand BondTM stick to the surface and prevent it from flowing down the joints. Minimal maintenance may be required in certain areas.
- Do not mix SuperSand BondTM with cement, or use crusher dust as a bedding material--use quality coarse sand. Avoid excessive wetting or flooding of paved areas.
- Avoid contact with eyes. If splashed in eyes or on skin, flush thoroughly with water. SuperSand BondTM contains calcium oxide.
